Jeppo, Dj e Speaker, all’anagrafe Cristiano Gambarelli nasce a Novara il 24 Novembre 1976 e secondo fonti più che attendibili si avvicina sin da piccolo al mondo della musica divertendosi ad infilare 45 giri in un mangiadischi arancione.
Mamma e pàpà forse avevano già capito come sarebbe andata a finire!!
Tornando dalla sua prima stagione in Sardegna come cameriere (1993), illuminato ed incoraggiato da un dj di fama mondiale, Stefano Fontana (Stylophonic), decide che non se ne sarebbe fatto nulla di un motorino nuovo, quindi pensa di investire sulla sua nuova passione, la musica!!!
Acquista due giradischi, i famosi Technics SL1200 (che tuttora ha!) ed un mixer (quello lo ha cambiato!)….mette la puntina sul vinile e..….da allora la musica non si è ancora fermata!!
Mette i suoi primi dischi alla Discoteca Sinatra’m (1994) di Vergiate e poi nel primo vero locale estivo della zona, il Ralph’s Pub. Non fatevi ingannare dalla parola “pub”, perché nel fine settimana transitavano sotto le stelle più di 3000 persone!!!....e lui, a 18 anni era già là, dove lo trovate tutt’ora, in consolle!
Qui perfeziona la sua tecnica ed il suo bagaglio musicale motivato dalla gente che balla intorno a lui.
Questo importante trampolino lo fa approdare nei due locali più in voga negli anni ’90/2000, due locali che tutti hanno sentito nominare in zona :Il Maneggio di Romagnano Sesia e La Rocca di Arona.
Gomito a gomito (le consolle erano piccole ai tempi!!) con talentuosi dj, come Mauro M.B.S. e Simone Cattaneo, Jeppo consacra il suo sound che lo contraddistinguerà in tutti questi anni, la house music.
Questo genere musicale, il suo stile, i suoi mix, miscelati alla sua grinta e determinazione, fanno sì che il “sound by Jeppo Dj” approdi in molti altri locali situati in Piemonte, Lombardia ed anche nella vicina Svizzera : Kelly (Omegna), Le Cave (Romagnano Sesia), Shatush (Courmayeur), Guaranà (Gattinara), Atelier (Cerano), Oasi (Santhià), Villa Sassa Glamour Privè (Lugano), Lido di Baveno (Baveno), Il Battello (Arona), 6900 (Lugano).
Dopo aver fatto ballare migliaia di persone, nel 2010 Jeppo da il via ad una nuova esperienza…la radio.
Negli studi di BluRadio, un emittente radiofonica privata, il 01 Ottobre 2010 va in onda la prima puntata di BluHouse un format radiofonico ideato dallo stesso Jeppo e dal collega ed amico Chicco Dj. Il programma propone esclusivamente musica house degli anni ’90 e 2000.
Molti anni sono passati dalla prima puntina rotta, migliaia di persone hanno ballato sulle sue note ma la passione verso la musica house continua a portare Jeppo Dj nei migliori locali…
Perché come dice lui : ”…io metto la musica, voi lo spettacolo!!”
Jeppo, Dj and Speaker, whose name is Cristiano Gambarelli was born in Novara on 24th november 1976 and according to reliable sources he approached to music since he was a child enjoing to insert 45S in a orange record player. Mom and dad had probably already understood how it will be finished.
Coming back from his first season in Sardegna as a waiter (1993) enlighted and encouraged by world famous Dj, Stefano Fontana (Stylophonic), he decided he didn't need a new scooter so he thought to invest in a new passion, the music!!!
He bought 2 record players, the famous Technics SL1200 (he still has them!) and a mixer ( he changed it!)...he puts the needle on the vinyl and... the music hasn't stopped yet!!
He played his first Vinyls at the disco Sinatra'm (1994) in Vergiate and then at the very first summer pub in the area, the Ralph's pub.Don't be fooled from the word "pub", because in the weekend there were more than 3000 people under the stars!!!... and when he was 18yo he was already there, where you can still find him, in console!
Here, driven by the people dancing around him, improved his ability and his musical background.
This important experience let him come into the 2 famous clubs between 90 and 2000, that everyone has heard once in a lifetime: the Maneggio in Romagnano Sesia and La Rocca in Arona.
Side by side (the consoles were tiny at that times!!) with talented dj, as Mauro M.B.S. and Simone Cattaneo, Jeppo definetly found his personal sound which will be his own feature for all this years, the House Music.
This kind of music, his style, his mix, mixed with his determination and grit, launched the "sound by JeppoDj" to others clubs in Piemonte, Lombardia and also in the near Swisse: Kelly (Omegna), le Cave (Romagnano Sesia), Shatush (Courmayeur),Guaranà (Gattinara), Atelier (Cerano), Oasi (Santhià), Villa Sassa Glamour privè (Lugano), Lido di Baveno (Baveno), il Battello (Arona), 6900 (Lugano).
After thousands of people who danced on his sound, in 2010 Jeppo started a new experience... the radio.
In the Blu Radio studios, a private radio, on 01 october 2010 was on-air the first show of BluHouse, a radio format created by Jeppo and his colleague and friend Chicco Dj. The programme plays just house music from 90's to 2000. Many years have passed from the first broken needle, thousands of people danced on his sound but the love for house music still keeps JeppoDj to play his sound in the
best clubs... because as he says: " I play the music, You make the show".
